Troubleshooting
Do I generate enough oil?
The average minimum volume of used oil you must generate annually is between 500-700 gallons. You can also burn #2 fuel oil if you run short of waste oil or purchase on specification used oil from a collector. (Approximately 35 cents per gallon.)
Doesn't a used-oil fired appliance smoke and pollute the air?
Absolutely not! OMNI waste oil appliances burn as clean as a #2 fuel oil furnace. When set up correctly, heat waves are all you should see coming from the stack.

Will different viscosities of oil affect the combustion efficiency of my furnace?
No. Our state-of-the-art burners are designed to accommodate a full range of oil viscosities, from 10W to 90W without the usually needed constant adjustment. Only OMNI offers exclusively a unit with TOTAL FLAME CONTROL.
How often will I have to clean the ash from inside the furnace?
The required cleaning intervals on average are approximately 1500 hours of operation. Our design allows easy access and cleaning your OMNI appliance is an easy procedure and should take about 30 minutes.
Are OMNI appliances backed with a warranty?
Yes. We provide a 10 year limited warranty which is the most comprehensive in the industry.
Will I ever experience free heat, or a huge reduction in Air Conditioning costs?

Depending on the average annual temperature of your region, with our heater you'll realize an 18 to 24 month return on your investment for heat, and FREE HEAT thereafter. With our Air Conditioning unit, you'll recover your investment 24 to 30 months and a 70% to 90% reduction in Air Conditioner operating costs thereafter.

What is "cradle-to-grave" liability?
The federal government holds you directly and irrevocably responsible for pollution management, cleanup and disposal control of waste oil on property you own - regardless of who generated or disposed of the oil. The liability is not transferable, hence "cradle-to-grave".
I am just renting and I am not an owner, am I still liable?
Yes.
How long am I liable?
Forever! Even if you sold your business a year ago. If the spill occurred when you were owner, you are still responsible.
Is it more convenient to contract a hauler/refiner to transport my used oil?
This is what waste oil haulers would like you to believe. Remember, your liability extends to the hauling of used oil because of your ownership of the property on which it is generated. If there is a spill during transport, you are 100% responsible for costly cleanup.
Are OMNI used oil appliances ductable?
Yes. All of the OMNI heaters can be ducted, in fact, we duct our units at no additional cost to the customer, another OMNI exclusive.
Does OMNI follow up the sale with parts and service support?
Yes: For your convenience we have a toll-free 800 number service hotline for immediate assistance. We can aid any (H.V.A.C.) heating, ventilation and air-conditioning person by phone. This industry is still relatively new to these contractors, yet has been around for over 30 years, experiencing many changes and improvements. However, the industry is here to stay and is growing rapidly. H.V.A.C. contractors will need to learn these systems. We are at your convenience to assist either by phone or factory-held seminars or contact the factory for a Distributor near you.
What does the EPA suggest?
Since 1985 the EPA issued a final rule for disposal of used oil by burning on site (40 CFR 266.41). This proposition states there is only one solution to eliminating your liability, burn it!
Can I get pollution insurance?
Underwriters will charge astronomical amounts and will write in protection for themselves.
